The pentagram is an interactive object in the game, as well as the object that includes the main objective of it. It is found in the starting room right in the beginning of the game.
Description[]
It's basically a giant red pentagram carved on the ground with bloody plates attached to each tip. Nothing too special.
Mechanics[]
The pentagram is immediately seen when you start the game. After escaping the starting room with a metal key, you will find a paper on a table which explains everything you need to complete a spell to trap Krampus. This paper tells you about the 5 items you'll need for the spell: rat tail, horseshoe, skull, horn, incantation.

Interacting with any empty plate on the pentagram will give you a message "place for item", which is also a piece of advice for the items you need. After finding any of the aforementioned items, place it on any plate (the order does not matter). Krampus does not get triggered after an item has been placed on the pentagram, as he only does so if it gets dropped.
Once all 5 items have been placed on the plates, the pentagram will set ablaze, which is a sign that the exorcism spell has been casted. After Krampus walks into the pentagram while it's ablaze, he will scream, fall down on his knees and disintegrate.

The pentagram will eventually revert back to normal and the golden key will be on the spot where Krampus got killed. The items will still be on the plates, although they can't get taken off.
Trivia[]
- If a small item is dropped on one of the plates, it can get stuck inside the plates and thus cannot be taken off anymore. This leads to the game being unable to complete if it's a spell item as you need all the 5 items for the spell.
- In the new update, there used to be a bug where pressing the P key would instantly activate the pentagram, thus making it easy to kill Krampus early in the game. Many people got very short speedrun times on the leaderboard. This is because Alexandr forgot to remove debugging after releasing the update, but luckily it got fixed.
